Sunday SWEATY RANT

how stupid is it to pay someone to treat your yard every few weeks to make the grass grow prettier, thicker and greener? then you cut it, trim it, edge it, blow it, bag it. paying $ to throw something away?

the homeowners association requires this process so your yard doesn’t get out of hand compared to the other 500 yards in your subdivision.

suburbia. 

it all seems like such a hypocritical waste of time, money, water and chemicals. not to mention my screaminggggggg tendons in my forearms from edging so much.  

all we need/want is a 10 x 10 patch of grass for the dog.

i wonder if the homeowners association would fine me if we took all the grass out and xeriscaped with rocks and boulders and cactus and succulents like they do in the southwest US.
